Strategic partnership Billion – Techpol for an increasingly eco-sustainable production

The partnership between Techpol and Billion SAS (one of the major french manufacturers of injection molding machines on the market) has been strengthened.

The strong partership contributes to the coninuing process, which was initiated a long time ago, of replacing hydraulic injection machines with 100% nor electric or ibrid injection machines

Alessandra Romagnoli, Techpol CEO says: “In addition to modernizing and making the working environment safer with the latest generation of machines, this measure also allows for a 50 percent reduction in hydraulic oil consumption and a reduction in the carbon footprint of up to 30 percent”.

Therefore, the strategic agreement with Billion is part of a broader and more ambitious eco-friendly production plan and decrease of the so-called Carbon Footprint which Techpol has already undertaken and which works on different action levels:

- The constant search for alternative production materials deriving from post-industrial waste and which have characteristics of the highest technical quality and purity;

- The growing use of eco-sustainable raw materials employed in agreement with the end customer;

- The rigorous management of production waste which is regrinded directly next to the press with special granulators and then reused in production;

- The progressive expansion of already-existing photovoltaic systems;

- The field of about half a hectare planted with olive trees (which have a large CO2 absorption capacity) near the company area.
